  9. You mustn't send any photo with your friends without your friends' permission because maybe your friends don't want anyone to see it.
  10. You mustn't meet anyone you don't know because he/she could hurt you.

I am going to talk about Charles I of Spain.
  • Who was Charles I of Spain?
Charles I of Spain was the son of Joanna the Mad and Philip the Handsome. He reigned with his mother, Joanna the Mad, in all the kingdoms of Spain with the name of Charles I from the year 1516 until the year 1556. He joined for the first time the Crown of Castile, the Kingdom of Navarre and the Crown of Aragon. He was also called Charles V of the Holy Roma Empire from the year 1520 until the year 1558.

  • Family
Charles was the son of Queen Joanna the Mad (of Castile) and Philil the Handsome. His grandparents were the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I and his wife Mary of Burgundy (paternal branch); and the Catholic Monarchs: Isabel I of Castile and Ferdinan II of Aragon (maternal branch). He married with Isabel of Portugal, his cousin, in the year 1526. They had five childs: Philip II of Spain, Mary of Austria, Ferdinand, Joanna of Austria, John and John.

  • Kinf of Spain
After the death of Isabel of Castile in the year 1504, the legal succerssor of the throne was Joanna the Mad as Isabel and John had died. She was considered incapable of ruling as she was mad so his father, Ferdinand II of Aragon acted as a regent until Charles (son of Joanna) became of age. Ferdinand died in the year 1516 and Charles succeed the throne. He inherited the Crown of Castile with the Americans' and Africans' possesions, and the Crown of Aragon and the Kingdom of Naples. He brought Flemish noblemen and gave them the most important government posistions, this angered the Castilian noblemen. He also spent a lot of Castilian money in seducing with money elector as he had became a candidate to the Holy Roman's Empire's Crown, this angered Castilian cities. When Charles went to the empire to be elected, the Revolt of the Comuneros started with the help of the nobles and the cities. But later, the king come to an agreement with Castilian nobles so they started helping the king to fight gainst the revels. The Comuneros were defeated in the year 1521 in the Battle of Villalar. This revolt changed Charles I, who began to pay more attention to Castilian issues and spent more time here, government possitions were given to Spanish noblemen, Castile was integrated into the empire and the comunidades lost almost all their power.
  • Holy Roman Emperor
After the death of Ferdinand II Of Aragon, his father, in they year 1516 and the death of his paternal grandparents, Maximilian I and Mary of Burgundy; Charles inherited the possesions of the German Habsburg and the House of Burgundy: the Low Countries, the Frenche Comté, Flanders and access to the Imperial Crown. He became a candidate to the Holy Roman Empire's Crown. he defeated the candidacies of Frederick III, Elector of Saxony, Francis I of France and Henry VIII of England. In the year 1530 he was crowned Holy Roman Emperor by Pope Clement VII in Bologna. Charles was abdicated as Emperor in the year 1556 in favor of his brother Ferdinand; however, due to lengthy debate and bureaucratic procedure, the Imperial Diet did not accept the abdication until 24 february 1558. Up to that date, Charles continued to use the title of emperor.
  • America
During Charles I reign, the Crown of Castile added all the territories of America conquered by conquistadors. Hernán Cortes conquered the Aztec Empire and Francisco Pizarro conquered the Inca Empire.

  • The Hispanic Empire
With the Crown of Castile, the Crown of Aragon, the Low Countries, the French Comté, Flanders and the access to the Imperial Crown, Charles built a huge empire called the Hispanic Empire. Each of the territories of the Hispanic Empire had its own laws, institutions and customs. it was the biggest empire history has ever known.
